PC Requirements
Diablo 4 needs at least an NVIDIA GTX 660 (or Intel Arc A380, AMD R9 280), an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350, 8 GB of RAM and 90 GB on an SSD for 30 fps at low settings (1080p output, 720p render). Blizzard recommends a GTX 970, Core i5-4670K and 16 GB for 1080p at medium settings and 60 fps (Steam, read Oct 20, 2026).
To run Diablo 4 on PC you need at least 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909, an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350, 8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, Intel Arc A380 or AMD Radeon R9 280, DirectX 12 and 90 GB of free space on an SSD, which Steam says gives 30 fps at low settings with a 1080p output and a 720p render resolution. The recommended PC, an Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 1300X, 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 970, Intel Arc A750 or Radeon RX 470, targets 1080p at medium settings and 60 fps (Steam, read Oct 20, 2026). Those are modest numbers for a game that keeps growing: the Lord of Hatred expansion added Skovos, a region Blizzard describes in this clip as "visually inspired by ancient Mediterranean landscapes", with coastlines, highlands and the marble capital Temis, and Steam lists no separate requirements for the expansion beyond a 64-bit processor and operating system (Steam). Diablo 4 is Windows only and needs an internet connection; which other machines run it is on Platforms and Crossplay.
Quick facts
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or newer; no Mac or Linux version |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350 (minimum); Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 1300X (recommended) |

Minimum and recommended specs
Steam's store page lists these two columns, as written on Oct 20, 2026. Both require a 64-bit processor and operating system, a broadband connection and an SSD.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or newer | 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or newer |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350 | Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 1300X |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, Intel Arc A380 or AMD Radeon R9 280 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, Intel Arc A750 or AMD Radeon RX 470 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Network | Broadband | Broadband |
| Storage | 90 GB available space | 90 GB available space |
| Notes | "1080p native resolution / 720p render resolution, low graphics settings, 30fps, SSD Required" | "1080p resolution, medium graphics settings, 60fps, SSD Required" |
The minimum PC renders at 720p and scales the image up to a 1080p screen, so it is a playable floor rather than the sharpest view of the game. The recommended column is the one to aim for if you want a steady 60 fps at 1080p.
Ultra 4K and ray tracing
Blizzard's support article adds tiers above Steam's list. For 4K at Ultra settings and 60 fps it names an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (an RTX 40 series card for the full DLSS 3 feature set) or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, 32 GB of RAM and the same 90 GB on an SSD, with higher tiers for ray tracing such as an RTX 4080 with 32 GB (Blizzard Support). The same article says the game "will attempt to run" below the minimum, on a hard drive, a dual-core processor or integrated graphics, with a worse experience, and that requirements may change. These figures come from a reading of a page that loads by script, so check the article itself before buying hardware for them.
| Ultra 4K (Blizzard Support) | |
|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (RTX 40 series for DLSS 3) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT |
| Memory | 32 GB RAM |
| Storage | 90 GB on an SSD |
| Target | 4K, Ultra settings, 60 fps |
Ray-traced shadows and reflections for NVIDIA RTX cards arrived with patch 1.3.5 on Mar 26, 2024 (Icy Veins).
DLSS and frame generation
Diablo 4 supports NVIDIA's DLSS upscaling, and patch 2.3.0, released with Season 9 on Jul 1, 2025, added native DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation (Blizzard). Every patch since is listed on Patch Notes.
Install size and the SSD
Steam asks for 90 GB of free space at every tier, and both columns say "SSD Required". Patches arrive through each season, so it is worth leaving some room beyond the 90 GB. Blizzard's support article says the game will try to run from a hard drive, but with a worse experience.
Steam Deck and handhelds
Before the Steam launch on Oct 17, 2023, Blizzard's Adam Fletcher said Diablo 4 would be Steam Deck Verified from day one (Shacknews); Valve's current rating was not read for this page, as of Oct 20, 2026. On the Deck, as on any PC, the Steam version needs a linked Battle.net account and a connection. Nintendo's Switch 2 runs the game at 30 fps (1080p handheld, 1440p docked) in Quality Mode or 40 fps at 1080p in Performance Mode, by Blizzard's FAQ, which gives a sense of what a modern handheld manages (Blizzard forums).
Controllers, accessibility and languages
Steam lists full controller support on PC, including DualShock and DualSense, and accessibility options such as a screen reader, adjustable text size, narrated menus and color alternatives (Steam). Full audio comes in 13 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
Cloud play
If your PC falls short, NVIDIA's GeForce NOW has streamed the Battle.net version since Feb 29, 2024 (NVIDIA), and the base game is on PC Game Pass (Game Pass).
